Alpha Terms

The short version: it's an alpha.

Effective October 27, 2026

These terms cover your use of the EchoNote alpha, made by Echonote, LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using EchoNote during the alpha, you agree to them.

Pre-release software

EchoNote is in alpha. It's unfinished, it will have bugs, and features may change or be removed without notice. Please don't rely on it for anything critical.

Invite-only

The alpha is for people we've invited. Your invitation is for you and isn't transferable. Connecting Google requires the Google account you gave us to be on our tester list.

You must be at least 18 years old to take part.

Provided as-is

EchoNote is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, Echonote, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of EchoNote.

It can end anytime

We may change, pause or end the alpha, or your access to it, at any time and for any reason. You can stop at any time too: run Factory Reset in Settings, then delete the app.

Your data

EchoNote runs on your Mac and your data stays there. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what EchoNote reads and the few things that leave your Mac. Your Google account remains subject to Google's own terms.

Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve EchoNote without any obligation to you.

Using EchoNote

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use EchoNote during the alpha. Please don't resell it, redistribute it, or use it to break the law or anyone else's rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
